Terms and Conditions
By making a booking with High Country Escapes, you agree to abide by our property rules and policies. This includes respecting the property and its surroundings, adhering to check-in and check-out times, and ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse bookings in cases of non-compliance with these terms.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to check-in will receive a refund of monies paid, less administration fees.
Cancellations made within 14 days of check-in are non-refundable.
No-shows or early departures are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in time: 4pm Check-out time: 10am
Early check-in/late check-out is subject to availability and may incur a fee.
Keys are provided via lockbox or by arrangement. Lost keys may incur a replacement fee of $50.00
Guest Responsibilities
Guests must treat the property with care and respect.
Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight.
Parties, functions, or events are strictly prohibited unless prior written approval is given.
Smoking is not permitted inside the property.
Pets are only allowed in designated pet-friendly properties and must be approved prior to arrival.
Damage, Loss & Security Bond
A security bond (amount to be specified) may be required prior to arrival.
Guests are responsible for any damage, breakages, or excessive cleaning required. Costs may be charged against the bond or credit card on file.
High Country Escapes is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings during your stay.
Property Access & Maintenance
From time to time, staff or contractors may require access to the property for urgent repairs or maintenance. Guests will be notified where possible.
No refunds will be given for minor disruptions to services (e.g., internet, power outages, or appliance failures).
Liability
Guests occupy the property at their own risk.
High Country Escapes and the property owners are not liable for accidents, injuries, illness, or loss of personal belongings during your stay.
Force Majeure
High Country Escapes is not responsible for events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics). Refunds in these circumstances will be at our discretion, in line with applicable consumer laws.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any disputes will be handled in the jurisdiction of Victorian courts.
